Powered Two Wheelers (PTW) constitutes the largest vehicle category across the world. PTWs are most affordable and have multiple advantages over other vehicle categories. Therefore, there is large increase in the purchase of PTW since last decade. Besides these facts, a bitter truth about PTW vehicles is its involvement in severe and fatal accidents. The analysis of PTW accidents is very effective way to understand the various associated factors responsible for severe or fatal accidents. Knowledge of these factors and their related issues can help the government officials to develop some mechanism to overcome the PTW accidents. In this study, we have provided a state of the art review on different studies related to PTW accident analysis. We have discussed the PTW analysis in four different aspects i.e. Analysis of PTW riding pattern and behavior, analysis of interaction of PTW with other vehicles, analysis of PTW accident frequency and analysis of PTW accident severity. This study is useful for researchers, scientists and engineers engaged in PTW accident analysis.
