Due to the recent advances in navigation and data communication technologies, data link between aircrafts and control centers are now available. The position given by the GPS (Global Positioning System) (ADS-B service) and additional Downlinked Aircraft Parameters (DAPs transmitted by Mode S Secondary Radar) can be used in the tracking function. In this paper, we investigate the use of these DAPs to assist present trackers and we propose an enhanced architecture based on an existing Multi Radar Tracking System. Results show that the DAPs help to provide to the controller a more accurate aircraft situation picture and improve the efficiency of air traffic planning: comparison and performance prediction are realized on simulated scenario. Several enhanced-tracking options are proposed and have been studied to evaluate the tracking performance of the newly implemented architecture, this being retained to comply with the requirements of an operational air traffic center.
