Over the last decade, in all developing countries Electric Vehicles (EV) stand attractive as more common mode of transport in all filed of the transportation sector. The EVs can cause significant impacts on the environment, and power systems, and are likely to replace internal combustion engine vehicles in the coming years. In India the recent cases of electric vehicle catching fire have raised safety concerns. Also, throughout the world the percentage of vehicle theft has become very substantial, and the condition is even worse in developing nations. Therefore, there is need for an intelligent, reliable, effective, and economical system for the protection of vehicles. Hence, in this paper, a novel method is adopted which protects the EV by developing advanced features such as detecting fire, temperature, and EV accidents and providing alertness to the owner instantly through messages. Also, advanced Anti-Theft vehicle security feature has been designed and executed employing a sensor-network system technology to track the EV. The proposed tracking system combines technology features of Global System for mobile communication (GSM) and Global Positioning System (GPS) and capable to secure, monitor and track the EV within a short time.
