Developing an economical Autonomous vehicle technology to transport passengers, deliver goods and access every possible destination where using a human driver is not preferred such as contamination zones is a holy journey that incorporates various fields of technology. A vehicle that offers the feasibility of switching between autonomous, Teleoperated and manual modes is indispensable to achieve this goal. As a first step of realizing our end goal, we have converted a manually operated Golf Cart into a Tele Operated campus utility vehicle equipped with Smart Driver Assistance System. Controller Area Network is deployed inside the vehicle for Intra systems communications viz, Steering, Braking and Throttle subsystem. A Base station is set up to control the vehicle. The base station communicates with the vehicle through multiple Radio Frequency Antennae. This paper focuses upon augmenting the CAN protocol of the vehicle into the Tele Operation mode and the various subsystems involved in it.
