In this paper, an aircraft parameter identification and trimmed state estimation method based on flight data is proposed for conventional layout aircrafts. Firstly, small perturbation equation is used to deduce the aircraft longitudinal motion linear state space model with trimmed state information. Subsequently, to obtain the aircraft parameters from the aircraft structure with engine system and steering gear system, this paper introduces the parameter identification optimization algorithm which combines the subsystem least squares identification and fractional line search, and puts forward a trimmed state estimation method based on the parameter identification. Finally, flight data from a commercial aircraft nonlinear model is used to verify the efficiency of the proposed method, the results shows high parameter identification accuracy and trimmed state estimation accuracy.
