Organic light emitting diodes using copper phthalocyanine (CuPc), instead of tris-(8-hydroxguinoline) aluminum (AIq), as an electron transporting layer are fabricated. The outcome of this structure significantly facilitates electron transporting through the organic materials, thus resulting in the reduction of operating voltages. The emitted light exhibits a peak at 410 nm and the CIE coordinates are (0.15,0.07).
