The world is advocating the idea of "2050 net-zero emissions" facing the changes in environment and climate. For the ultimate-goal of net-zero emissions, electric vehicles are considered one of the most forward-looking and promising solutions with electric motorcycles an important branch of the electric vehicles, since they are low at price, compact in size and large in number. A report of International Energy Agency (IEA) indicates that more than a million of electric motorcycles were sold globally in 2022, and the number is estimated at 14 million in 2023 with the market share of 18%. It is estimated that the market share will reach 35% in 2030.Unlike their traditional fuel-powered counterparts, electric motorcycles consist almost entirely of electronic elements, which highlights the importance of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). In this study, the electric motorcycle EMC testing and certification according to domestic and international standards are presented. The tests to perform as specified in these standards are explained to provide electric motorcycle manufacturers a clear picture of the EMC test requirements, and help them meet the applicable specifications, accelerate their entry into the global electric motorcycle market and drive a new wave of green energy industry and economy.
