The paper focuses on the problem of attitude control for hypersonic gliding vehicle (HGV) with unknown parameters. For near-space hypersonic gliding vehicle, the flight environment in reentry phase is very complex, and with the extremely high velocity, control of the aircraft is facing severe challenges. One of the challenges is that the exact values of the parameters in the kinetic model cannot be obtained. An observer-based approach is proposed in this paper to solve the problem and nonlinear dynamic inversion is used in controller design. Simulation on the longitudinal dynamic model of HGV presents the performance of the observer and the controller, which proved to be effective on this problem.
