The congestion of urban car traffic creates many problems at once to the residents of metropolises, from emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere to annually increasing mortality in road traffic accidents. Recent achievements in the field of artificial intelligence and the organization of the movement of autonomous vehicles today allow us to create concepts that may become ubiquitous in the near future. In this paper, the authors consider the possibilities for creating an intelligent transport infrastructure within the concept of a smart city using cyber-physical systems. The aspects of information security in the use of cyber-physical systems are considered, approaches to solving problems of intersection management are discussed. Intersections in cities loaded with traffic can be compared with bottlenecks - the trajectory of many vehicles overlap and congestion occurs. To increase the capacity of urban streets, the authors presented a model of the system that regulates the movement of vehicles at the intersection. To assess the feasibility of using the developed model, the authors developed a software simulator of two connected urban intersections. For comparison, a simulator of the intersections, regulated by a traffic lights, was also developed. The results of the experiments allow us to say that the developed model is more efficient than the traffic light in the framework of this study.
