During an ongoing research project regarding the development of the automatic spatial data acquisition and analysis system that automates the inventory, modeling and volume calculation of mineral resources (AutoInvent), one of the tasks is to improve the accuracy of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) position estimation while photogrammetric photos are taken. It is assumed that position data fusion from real-time kinematic positioning (RTK) and the total station will significantly enhance the precision of UAV position measurements. This paper presents the results of total station verification tests as a precise positioning system for a UAV.
