Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is a useful technique for performing real-time, label-free study of biomolecular interactions. We report the development of a new two-dimensional arrayed SPR biosensor system based on measuring the phase change. Further development of this instrument for the healthcare market in which SPR has yet to gain entry will be discussed.
