One product of the Civilian American and European Surface Anthropometry Resource (CAESAR) project is the 3-D location of 72 landmarks on all of the thousands of subjects scanned in the survey. Several years of research was done to arrive at a method to quickly, accurately and consistently locate these landmarks. This paper describes the method, its development, and its results.
