Effect of the optical activity on the photorefractive screening spatial solitons in the photorefractive cubic Bi/sub 12/TiO/sub 20/ (BTO) crystal have been investigated by theoretically for some special fixed orientations of the external electric field and polarizations of the light beam. The aim of this paper is to investigate influence of the optical activity on the thickness dependence of the maximum intensity of the light beam in a cubic photorefractive optically active crystal of the (1~1~0 )-cut for different orientations of the external electric field with respect to crystallographic directions.
