The composition of aircraft taxi-out time at airports can be divided into two components: the unimpeded taxi-out time determined by the airport runway taxiway structure and optimal taxi path, and the additional taxi-out time caused by airport congestion or non-optimal taxi routes. The additional taxi-out time is a direct reflection of airport congestion and an important indicator for taxiing efficiency assessment. An accurate definition of the unimpeded taxi-out time is the basis for calculating the additional taxi-out time. For the assessment of aircraft unimpeded taxi-out time, this paper firstly conducted an analysis of the factors influencing aircraft taxi-out time; then, for busy airports using apron control, the aircraft taxi-out process was divided into two stages: apron tower control range taxiing and ATC tower control range taxiing, and a linear regression model was established for each stage using different indicators, and a new algorithm was used to calculate the aircraft unimpeded taxi-out time. Finally, the new algorithm is validated by using some aircraft parking position at Shenzhen Baoan International Airport as the object of analysis. The validation results show that the fit of the algorithm is better than that of the classical algorithm, and the deviation of the unimpeded taxi-out time derived using the new algorithm from the simulated unimpeded taxi-out time is 3.3%.
