This article deals with the design and prototyping of a rapidly deployable mobile unit (RDMU), which uses a thermographic camera to autonomously detect, track, and georeference a wildfire that falls within its detection range. The following sections present an analysis of the current situation, followed by the technological developments carried out to address the identified problems. Details about the prototype integration and functional tests are also provided.
