This paper describes the progress of applying the Simulation Environment for Onboard Fire and Smoke Propagation Models to models under development by the Electric Ship Research And Development Consortium. The environment dramatically simplifies the use of models making them readily available for non-expert users, such as a sailor. Furthermore, the authors claim that the Simulation Environment may become a platform for transferring research simulation codes developed in academia to operational use at shipyards and Navy facilities.
