A description is given of the manner of modifying existing space-qualified imaging tracker technology to achieve a robotic controller with application to NASA's extra vehicular activity (EVA) retriever development. The project has demonstrated qualitative results in homing and contour following. Emphasis is on the McDonnell Douglas Company's MDAC robotic tracking controller that was used to demonstrate supervised telerobotic capability to approach, position, engage, and retrieve (or assemble) payloads under supervised, but autonomous, robotic control.<>
