The analytic dependence of a zero-sequence current vector on the distance to one phase to ground fault location or a local electrical insulation fault and resistance values in the point of the fault has been determined. An algorithm for automatic determination of insulation fault parameters has been developed. The results of the laboratory tests of the system proposed to determine the parameters of insulation faults are given.
