There exists a range of computational methods for supporting multicriteria decision-making. We argue that a combination of these methods with visualisation tools promotes more conscious use of the results of the computations and, hence, contribute to making sound, well-substantiated decisions. Multiple complementary displays enable a comprehensive analysis of potential decisions. We suggest several coordination mechanisms as particularly suitable for combining the computational and visual tools for decision support. The combined use of the tools is illustrated by examples.
