A fault-tolerant levitation controller design method for Maglev(Magnetic Levitation) vehicle is presented. Even though designing a fault-tolerant Maglev controller to make the Maglev vehicle steady suspension under some faults is a key technology in Maglev vehicle system, this hasn¿t well explored. The faults of the Maglev controller occurred in Maglev vehicle ystem will reduce the running performance, disable the whole operation of the Maglev vehicle system and even bring about dangerous situation to safety of passengers. Therefore, a fault-tolerant levitation controller is developed to cope with the faults of the Maglev controller. A FTLC with a duplex controller is proposed and the operation principles are explained. The feasibility of the proposed FTLC is verified through experiments.
