In the recent years, there has been an increase in demand for more features in cars that has led to development of smart cars. Still, it is very difficult for the driver to judge the clearance while parking cars due to limitation in the field of view available in cars. While parking, lack of visibility for the driver due to presence of blind spot leads to rubbing off the body of the car with other vehicles. This paper provides approach, implementation, and demonstration details of proximity sensor-based warning system as parking assistance for blind spot elimination in vehicles.
