The article describes the method to determine real exploitable rates of fuel consumption in cargo vehicles. The significance of incoming dataflow influence on actual fuel consumption in cargo vehicles considering their technical state, maintenance service, cargo weight, speed and traffic condition was identified; the reasons for increased fuel consumption of cargo vehicles were determined; algorithm for evaluation of fuel consumption basing on a massive dataflow from telematics control systems was developed.
