Driving while fatigued is extremely dangerous. Since that there is a danger to drivers' lives, it is crucial to resolve this issue. If the driver feels sleepy while driving, it would be very difficult to avoid accidents. The goal of this project is to create a gadget that will aid drivers in protecting themselves against accidents caused by lethargy or sleepiness, especially at night. It is proposed to create an electronic gadget that can recognise when a driver is tired and it activates an alert system. It will produce sound as an alarm and if the driver doesn't wakes up for the alarm, then the device sends a serial data via Bluetooth and there by the receiver side which is connected to the electronic control unit (ECU) of the vehicle which slowly applies the brake and turns off the engine. Here, the programmed device configured to detect drowsiness, Serial transmission and alarm were developed and set into a Goggles using Arduino Nano. On the other hand, an eye blink sensor was employed, to determine whether a person is sleepy or not. It is also demonstrated that the tiredness level of a driver's level of tiredness can be assessed by using an Infra-Red sensor as an eye blink sensor. The prototype of the system has been developed and tested to be accurate.
