In recent years, many changes have occurred in machine vision technology. Meanwhile, the automotive industry is evolving, and electronic and embedded systems have largely replaced the mechanical systems in the automobile. More and more attention has been paid to the research on the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) as one of the promising applications that can respond to the growing demands for driving safety and intelligent transportation. There are various issues in the execution of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) for Moroccan traffic scenarios such as invisible traffic signs. As part of ADAS, traffic sign detection and recognition will give extra value to driver assistance, it will minimize some unwanted circumstances during driving such as fatigue, poor sight, and adverse weather conditions. The present paper provides an original study that aims to select a robust algorithm for both the detection and classification of traffic signs suitable for the Moroccan context
