To guarantee the safe navigation of ships, a mesh network system consisting of ZigBee coordinator, routing nodes, and sensor nodes is designed for the safety monitoring of the ship cabin environment, and two communication modes are designed for the problem of communication between ZigBee coordinator and land under the offshore scenario of the ship, and the problem of communication of self-organized network of ZigBee coordinator under the far-sea scenario of the ship. The designed network system and communication modes can transmit the sensor network's real-time monitoring data of the ship's cabin environment and gas leakage to the control terminal. For the problem of gas leakage source localization, the gas leakage area is determined by dividing the confined area into different regions and utilizing the random forest data classification prediction algorithm. After comparing it with other methods, the system has the best error performance, with an error lower than 12%. The experimental results proved that the system runs stably and can monitor the ship's cabin in real-time, providing early warning for the environmental safety of the ship.
