This paper proposes a wireless power transfer sys- tem with a dynamic positioning mechanism that allows power transfer with high efficiency for a large range of relative position between emitting and receiving coils. The system has a self-alignment feature for tracking the optimum angle to maximize power transfer between both coils. Modeling simulation and experimental results have been presented to validate the proposed system. This dynamic wireless power transfer system is suitable for applications that include ground charging station and a superior dock charging system.
