In order to improve safety in flight and assure the life of pilots and maintain high cost of fighters, an investigation of aircraft accidents in recent years is stressed and systematized in the R.O.C. Air Force. This is to submit detailed proposals and assure correct strategy for preventing accidents. The study is established on the basis of the development of cockpit resource management. The study investigates the major causes and categories of accidents in the R.O.C. Air Force in the past twenty years. By content analysis, the survey collects data, analyze reasons and segments different cases from the accident reports. As a result, a series of accident prevention strategies are submitted to the aviation authority according to quantitative data. Accidents caused by human error are the major topic of accident prevention in aviation operations. The aim of cockpit resource management is to ensure that hardware resources, software resources and human resources are each used as effectively as possible in the cockpit. The purposes of this study are: (1) to investigate the relationship between human errors and accidents; (2) to study the relationship between human errors and operational stages; (3) to develop accident prevention strategies.
