At present, public transport passenger flow statistics based on IC card data has become an important way of analysing passengers’ travel rules and planning public transport lines. However, most cities in China use the payment way of only swiping cards when passengers getting on bus, so we need to infer the getting-off station according to the passengers’ travel rules. But most of the existing OD algorithms have the following problems: a) These algorithms can’t infer the getting-off station for each passenger, and also inaccuracy in the calculation of the overall passenger flow; b) The transfer between bus and rail transit seriously affects the OD calculation of passengers. So we proposed a new OD inference algorithm based on trip chain network and station attraction weight, which uses the whole bus and rail transit lines to infer the passengers’ OD. In this algorithm, We not only considered the passengers’ transfer between bus and rail transit, but also considered the transfer capacity of each station and the environment around it. Finally, we apply the OD results to passenger flow forecasting in Chongqing, which shows that the calculation accuracy for the passengers’ getting-on station is 0.9513, and for getting-off station is 0.9025.
