The integrated by-wire hydraulic brake system-the 1-Box, is increasingly capturing market share as it better meets the new demands for braking systems required by intelligent driving. However, the functionality and control logic of the 1-Box system are relatively complex, necessitating extensive verification testing. To rapidly verify the performance of software logic embedded in 1-Box, an automated testing method based on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) is proposed. Firstly, a semi-physical simulation test platform for the 1-Box was established based on dSPACE SCALEXIO system. Secondly, basic braking tests were conducted focusing on the driver input state and mechanical backup state of the 1-Box. Finally, automated testing was carried out for additional functions of the 1-Box and advanced driver-assistance features.
