With the continuous development of China's market economy, the transportation industry has developed into the basic industry of the national economy, especially railway transportation, which plays a vital role in the entire comprehensive transportation network. Based on the analysis of the current situation of geography, transportation and freight demand of a city, this paper predicts the urban railway freight demand, collects and sorts out the relevant data of the city, uses multiple linear regression algorithm to construct a prediction model, obtains the regression equation, and predicts the demand for the next year, which has practical reference significance for the comprehensive transportation hub planning of freight terminals.
