In order to improve the safety and economy of civil aviation, based on the Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) System, an Airplane Health Management (AHM) technology is presented in this paper. Although the PHM system contains the abilities of fault detection, fault isolation, fault prognosis and prognosis of the remaining life, extending the time of an aircraft in the air every day is the key element to an airline company. On the condition of keeping the flight secure, the trends of all failures and faults are queued up with the advanced algorithms and intelligent model, the pilots and airline company can decide whether a flight need to make a return voyage or not. So, “queuing up the faults” is a top priority in the AHM system. This paper provides methods to the AHM System, which is applied to Air China and Singapore Airlines successfully.
