With the continuous improvement of the lightweight level of aerospace, it is more difficult for the existing optimization design methods to further carry out lightweight design. Aiming at the requirement of lightweight design of air rudder, a lightweight design method of air rudder based on lattice filling is proposed in this paper. In this method, the stiffness matrices of lattice cells under different rod diameters are obtained by equivalent homogenization method. Then the traditional topology optimization method is used to carry out the topology optimization design of the air rudder, and the structure is divided into different lattice regions according to the optimization results. Finally, the rod diameters in different regions are optimized by means of parameter optimization, and the final optimized design results are obtained. The weight of the lightweight air rudder based on the lattice filling optimization design is 22.35% lower than that of the ordinary structure optimization design method, 61.1% lower than that of the solid structure, and its first-order and second-order frequency difference is 12.06% higher than that of the ordinary structure optimization design scheme, that is, the critical flutter speed is increased. The lightweight design method based on lattice filling and additive manufacturing provides a new design idea for rudder wing products and has a wide application prospect.
