The development of the internet has led to the myriad of information present on any domain available on the internet and the information available on the online world has been growing exponentially from the advent of the internet. Nowadays, people want to extract only the most important information on a specific type of content from documents as promptly as possible. The important and relevant content from multiple documents can be obtained from multiple documents with minimal redundancy through multi-document summarization. Thus, this paper has been focused on providing a detailed study of various approaches to summarize multiple documents with all the important and relevant information. This paper analyses and compares different methods of multidocument summarization with one another and provides a comparative study of various summarization methods using multiple evaluation metrics.
