With the rapid development of new energy vehicles, automatic driving technology has a more suitable carrier. In the research process of automatic driving technology, motion control is the core of automatic driving technology, which is related to the safety, comfort and traffic efficiency of the vehicle. In this paper, the tracking controller in the overtaking process is designed based on the model predictive control method, and the target function design and constraint design are carried out. According to the V2X sensor of vehicle-vehicle communication, the information interaction between vehicles is carried out, the relevant model is built based on the highway scenario, and the accuracy of the path tracking control algorithm is verified by Prescan and Simulink co-simulation.
