In our work, we are addressing violation of controlled and prohibited aerospace due to the loss of orientation which happened multiple times in the past. Design of an Electronic Flight Instrument System which uses high-fidelity maps including almost all landmarks to the level of single buildings is described. In our article we introduce the sensor system and its connection to the EFIS instrument where terrain, landscape and navigation information are displayed. The system is designed to help pilot with problems arising from comparative navigation and loss of orientation based on past events which are simulated on full-motion simulator. We measure time necessary to regain information about airplane position through important landmarks which are displayed on EFIS. Last part of the article provides facts from a test flight in Cessna 172.
