This paper finds the matched path loss models under three kinds of traffic flow conditions: high, medium and low traffic density based on the analysis of measured vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) data at 5.9 GHz. We use the data of different traffic conditions in the Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) model to simulate the connectivity of VANETs. After simulating, the VANETs connectivity under different traffic flows based on the measured data is obtained as well as the obstruction considered effective communication coverage. The results show that the integrated VANETs connectivity model based on measured data can accurately reflect the V2V communication environment under real conditions.
