This research has determined the occurrence of speed violations in university areas and the risk of delivery riders causing more road accidents than general drivers. The researchers applied the Spot speed study with stopwatch methods and license plate tracking techniques with motorcycles which are divided into two types: general riders and delivery riders. The sample sizes are 100 general riders, and 100 delivery riders are matched from point A and point B for 725 meters. Knowing the time traveled and distance from each point, the researchers also applied the speed formula to find the speed from each motorcycle’s license plate. As a result, both delivery and general riders’ average speed values show that they did not exceed the speed limit on road number R0. Therefore, there are no speeding violations in this area. Moreover, delivery riders do not significantly impact the risk of causing a road accident more than general riders. The findings in this research might help to understand the speedy behavior of both general and delivery riders and recommend that future research analyze other road numbers at Mae Fah Luang university to understand both riders behaviors better.
