This paper proposes and examines multi-stage hybrid nulling of extremely strong interfering and jamming signals (ISs and JSs) that can completely desensitize and even damage victim receivers (Rxs). This method is a generalization of and based on the two-stage hybrid nulling presented in previous papers of the author. The main advantage of the initial version of this method over conventional techniques is that it not only protects victim Rxs from extremely strong ISs and JSs but also allows receiving desired signals in the presence of these ISs and JSs. The proposed version improves the performance of the initial one by adding analog nulling stages. This addition changes the algorithm and hardware of the method initial version. The paper describes the principles, realization, and operation of the proposed multi-stage hybrid nulling in Rxs with uniform linear and circular arrays (ULAs and UCAs). It evaluates the performance improvement and complexity increase, caused by each added nulling stage, and determines the optimal number of analog nulling stages.
