Since pilot stress has received much more attention in civil aviation, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, this study aimed to explore the influencing factors of pilot chronic stress. First, we reviewed the relevant studies and compiled the initial "Influencing Factors of Pilot Chronic Stress Scale" (IFPCSS). Then, we invited 202 professional pilots from a Chinese airline to rate their feeling on it, with 189 valid responses received. Further, the study calculated the validity using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Ultimately, we evaluated Cronbach’s alpha to analyze the internal consistency. As a result, EFA revealed that the optimized IFPCSS can be divided into three dimensions with 12 items. CFA confirmed that the final IFPCSS was acceptable since Cronbach’s alpha was 0.899, which indicated good internal reliability.
