The traditional anchoring positioning technology has been unable to meet modern demand, so it is urgent to develop a new type of ship dynamic positioning device. At the same time, how to better coordinate the positioning device with the ship to cope with the unexpected situation under complex sea conditions has become an important problem. Therefore, this paper designs the dynamic positioning simulator through MATLAB software to better train the crew. The effects of longitudinal thrust, transverse thrust, and yawing moment on ship motion are studied. The results show that the lateral thrust and yawing moment can play a good role in dynamic positioning.
