This paper presents a prototype coffee maker system that can be integrated inside of a vehicle. The prototype is based on the existing monitoring and control system within a vehicle that receives information from electronic control units (ECU). The transmission of information between ECUs is based on the various communication protocols present in the automotive industry (CAN, LIN, FlexRay and Ethernet). The actual implementation of the program underlying the operation of the prototype is presented in this paper based on the functions within the ECUs. In order to validate the proposed system, simulations of the different types of signals existing on the communication buses were carried out. These signals describe: the state of the ignition, the percentage of battery charge, the presence of the driver in the passenger compartment, the status of the vehicle and the proposed prototype system.
