Multicore technologies are increasingly being incorporated into mission-critical systems for space exploration, a trend notably on the rise within missions conducted by the European Space Agency (ESA). While these technologies offer several benefits, they also present substantial challenges, particularly in the realm of inter-core interference. This study focuses on the validation of multicore technologies in the space domain, in accordance with the guidelines provided by the AMC 20-193. The Prospect mission being used as case study, interference mitigation strategies are deployed on the space-qualified GR740 and GP64L-QC quad-core architectures to evaluate the complexity of hosting mixed-criticality software applications on these platforms.
