For the problem of envelope protection (EP) of the large aircraft an active side stick (ASS) control law is proposed. Based on a coupling model of human in-the-loop system (HILS) with ASS, the control law of aircraft EP with ASS is designed by using the angle of attack limiter (AOAL). Two cases of AOA tracking control with the AOA limiter and with ASS are simulated and the results show the proposed approaches are feasible and effective.
