This paper proposes the droop based PLL to improve the synchronization as well as stator output voltage to utilize the wind energy effectively in the DC microgrid. The control scheme is used to maintain the maximum power point throughout the speed range of DFIG for achieving better efficiency. DFIG system is connected to DC distribution system using power converters in-between to condition the power injection into the DC microgrid. In this paper, DC link of DFIG is connected to DC Bus, so voltage synchronization and frequency problem is not present. The proposed droop based PLL control scheme is implemented to achieve improve power quality and better transient/dynamic response under the variations of wind speed and load. The proposed control scheme is implemented to achieve improve power quality and better transient/dynamic response under the variations of wind speed and load. The WES utilises DFIG, and it is modeled and simulated in MATLAB SIMULINK to validate the effectiveness and desirable improvements up to certain extent.
