Electric Vehicles (EVs) play an important role in confronting the ongoing climatic crisis as well as the energy crisis by replacing conventional IC engine-based vehicles. However, EVs are facing various challenges including range anxiety as well as deployment of charging infrastructure. A dual active bridge (DAB) converter is an isolated DC-DC converter employed for off-board EV charging which exhibits high efficiency, high power density, bidirectional power flow, galvanic isolation, wide gain range, etc. This work focuses on the comprehensive analysis of the conventional DAB converter, LLC converter, and CLLC converter topologies. The simulation analysis of the different topologies is executed with the help of MATLAB version 2021a. The various key waveforms of all three topologies are presented to analyze the comparative studies. Further, bode plots for LLC converter and CLLC converter topologies are presented to examine the stability. It is observed that LLC is the better choice in terms of gain and stability.
