In this article, an enhanced-boost coupled-inductor impedance network inverter (EBCL-INI) is presented. Being better than other impedance-source inverters, the proposed EBCL-INI can avoid the dc-link voltage drop caused by the discontinuous inductor current and is not limited by the inductor parameters, which will largely broaden the application circumstances. Also, the proposed EBCL-INI can realize continuous input current, own the one-stage boost function, and produce the higher boost capability even if using the smaller shoot-through duty ratio, which can improve the relations between the shoot-through duty ratio and the modulation index. Modulation schemes, operation principles, math derivations, inductor parameters in CCM and DCM, efficiency, THD, and feature comparisons of the proposed EBCL-INI are analyzed in detail, and the corresponding experimental results are given out to verify the validity of the theoretical analysis.
