To demonstrate the theoretical result of the prototype aircraft's flight mode characteristics based on aerodynamic data acquired from wind tunnel test, the flight test of the scaled aircraft is conducted. Firstly, the architecture of the flight control system of the scaled model is built, and the impulse and the sweep frequency signal are designed and identification method is given, then the stimulate flight system is constructed, finally, the flight mode characteristics is identified based on flight test data. The investigation results show: The established flight control system can effectively accomplish the flight test based on the modal characteristics of the scaled-down model; The designed frequency sweep signal can accomplish the stimulation of the scaled model; The flight test of flight mode characteristics and identification results are reasonable and credible. The ratio of damp and frequency of the scaled model's short period and Dutch mode meet the similar relationship with the prototype.
