The voltage and frequency regulation in an isolated hybrid microgrid based on a self-excited induction generator (SEIG) with R-L loads has been focused in this article. This article aims to enhance microgrid performance by designing and modeling a fuel cell-supported static synchronous series compensator (SSSC). SEIGs are integrated in green power grid due to their high rigidity, reliability, simple design, and ability to operate under extreme conditions. Due to the lack of consistent excitation the generators are inability to control the voltage and frequency. As a result, the produced voltage and frequency are difficult to stabilize also it is suppressing the injected harmonic current components. This article present a, the dynamic performance of the SEIG based SSSC (powered by FC) is analyzed. The SSSC based hydrogen fuel cell (FC) system controls both frequency and voltage to enhance the performance of SEIG. The FC is used as the active power source for the SSSC which compensates both the active and reactive power of a stand-alone grid is estimated during load variability in order to achieve a nominal terminal voltage without any interruptions. The MATLAB Simulink is used for simulated proposed model. The suggested control approach is tested on a dynamically modeled SEIG-SSSC system which is also further validated using OPAL RT 4510 real-time platform.
