It is shown that the propagation of the laser-induced transparency front under the condition of the resent experiments [J. H. Yoo, S. H. Jeong, R. Greif and R. E. Russo, J. Appl. Phys. V.88, N.3, p.1638 (2000); J. H. Yoo, S. H. Jeong, X.L.Mao, R. Greif and R. E. Russo, J. Appl. Phys.Lett., V.76, N.6, p.783 (2000)] should manifest itself in a significant contribution to the pressure recoil (photoacoustic effect). The stationary evaporation regime with possible laser-induced transparency can be achieved at much lower intensities than the ones used in the cited paper and plasma plume formation can be avoided. The model of the bulk vaporization which involves the periodic phase explosions is discussed as well.
