DE 102005037157 A1 UPAB: 20070521 NOVELTY - The test stand (10) has a wheel test unit (14) that includes a rotatable drum (22) having a mounting surface (18) on which a freely rotating vehicle wheel (12) is mounted for testing. The vehicle wheel is held by a retainer (16) in load-defined position with respect to the bearing surface of the drum. A power supply unit (20) provides the power for turning the drum. The test stand also includes a scroll test unit (24) for determining and evaluating the characteristics of the vehicle wheel based on the output of the wheel test unit. USE - For testing vehicle wheels in different wheel load conditions. ADVANTAGE - Provides an alternative and versatile test stand for testing vehicle wheels in different wheel load conditions, in which the test stand can be effectively used in different kinds of vehicle wheels. Ensures easy adjustment of the test stand in suitable angle position for testing vehicle wheels. Ensures reduced cost and easy integration of the scroll test unit in the test stand. Ensures easy arrangement of test rollers used in testing vehicle wheels.
